Rhymes of History Technology

The Podcast is a Rhyme of History. It rekindles the narrative or lecture from a speaker to his/her audience.  In the days of ancient Greece and Rome, great orators like Aristotle and Socrates would speak to students and other bodies of people to pass along knowledge or information.

Podcasts have become extremely popular with the current generation because they can be downloaded to a wide variety of devices and have a wide range of topics.  The topics have greatly increased in number from its beginnings in ancient times.

1. Enhances: What does this technology do that is new?  It provides clearly quality when recording audio.  It provides for the ability to store files for a longer period of time.

2. Obsoletes: What does this technology replace?  It replaces the cassette recorder

3. Retrieves/Rekindles: What does this technology bring to mind (or retrieve) from the past? Early recordings of audio like the first phonograph

4. Reverses: What might replace this technology in the future, or what might it cause to occur? MP3 recorders or DVD recorders
